Good news this morning. It seems that LiveJournal, one of the first blogging services, has decided to have nothing to do with Phorm’s Webwise “product” and have instructed Phorm not to profile their domains.
Blogs are the kinds of places Phorm want to target with Webwise. People talk about anything and everything on their blogs: the kind of stuff that is ideal if you want to build behavioural profiles.
If LiveJournal has instructed Phorm not to profile their domains then that is an excellent decision by LiveJournal management and another bullet in the armoury against Webwise.
