I’ve mentioned West Indies fast bowling legend Michael Holding previously in this blog. We seem to agree on the abysmal decision of the ICC to change the result of the England – Pakistan Oval test in 2006.
Holding is a man of conviction. BBC Sport reports that Holding has resigned from his position on the ICC Cricket Committee. I hear that Holding announced his decision live on Sky Sports today. Holding is quoted as saying:
“When you take certain actions, you must be quite happy to suffer the consequences,” about the actual test match
And on the ICC’s decision:
“I have just written my letter of resignation to the ICC Cricket Committee because I cannot agree with what they’ve done.”
“A lot of things that are happening today that I don’t want to be involved with, so I’ve moved on.”
Another scathing indictment of the ICC.
