Professional Standards & Ethics

It’s been an interesting couple of weeks during which my desire to accept that people generally act honourably and to the highest professional standards has taken some big hits. At heart I’m an old fashioned kind of guy and really want to believe that people will do their jobs properly and behave to a high professional standard without my having to get involved. Sadly it seems that more often I have to push, press and get involved to ensure that actually happens.

England v West Indies Day Three

I’d play an unchanged side at Chester-le-Street becuase Tim Bresnan didn’t get much of a look in. Sky Sports reported that Ryan Sidebottom and Ian Bell remained with their counties today even though they were called up to the test squad. Bopara has better body language than Bell, looks more up for a fight. For that reason alone he deserves a good run at number 3. For me Bell needs to score bucketloads of runs with authority and that little bit of attitude to get in the test side this summer.
